KPI 10

At least 90% of patients have access to basic secondary prevention including antithrombotics, antihypertensives and statins as well as life style advice.

Current status

Basic secondary prevention was defined as at least 90% of patients with an indication having access to antithrombotics, antihypertensives, statins, and life-style advice. In almost all countries, this was based on an estimate and many countries did not feel sufficient confidence to provide an estimate. The situation was best as to antithrombotics, whereas life-style advice appears to be given very little attention.
